KDE: Can't navigate to phone from Konsole

When either my Android phone or tablet are connected via USB, I get an error similar to this one:
Code:
bash: cd: mtp://[usb:002,012]/: No such file or directory
I'd like to use rsync to copy files to either/both devices, but if I can't navigate to any folder via Konsole, that is not possible, so far as I know.
I'm fairly sure I have mtptools installed (I have in previous Linux installs). From experience I have noticed it makes no difference. Am I missing something specific to bash?

Carver
PS: I have considered doing so via SMB/CIFS, but I haven't researched how to mark shared directories on the device side as yet.

Does your phone show any kind of connection once it is plugged into the PC? If not then you might need to turn on the developer options.

You might want to take a look at KDE Connect or Airdroid. See this thread: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...op-4175614251/

My Pixel XL likes to default to charge only when connected via USB. There should be a notification about which USB mode you're in. Tap it to change to something like file transfer mode.

It's different between devices.

Make sure you have gvfs-fuse installed.
The mount point is probably something like /run/user/1000/gvfs (just look/search for gvfs)
You can find the correct usb ID with lsusb.

PS: you might notice that you're not allowed to read/... (fuse doesn't deal with system permissions)... if so, edit your confg or unmount and remount as a regular device).

IMHO, it's not that easy.
OTG isn't a valid USB spec to begin with.
