hoping you guys can help me troubleshoot my problem. my internet seems to crash after certain instances. i am not sure if its bittorrent thats doing it or what? it seems whenever i leave my computer alone for awhile i come back and the internets dead so i have to do an ifdown/ifup to restore it.
i am using debian-etch, am wondering if it goes into some kind of standby mode and kills everything while im away? because it seems if i stay on the computer and work the internet will never die, but as soon as i walk away from it for awhile it dies?

can anyone help me to troubleshoot this one?

Hi, hardware info would help us here (especially the NIC).

open a shell and type "dmesg" and post the relevant output here)

no can do right now though, dont have my computer with me. can post it up later, was just maybe looking for some general advice right now if you knew what may cause constant crashes like this.
