Post Installing php5 - phpmyadmin4.x in ubuntu 18.04


I need to run a existing php software which runs in the older LAMP stack. So I am looking to install phpmyadmin and bind mysql for php5. Is there any way I can do it?

This is the documentation for phpmyadmin...it seems to explain how to "do it".
