Hi,
I'm looking to install linux mint entirely, after using windows 7. I have an unusual system, I suppose, with 3 drives (A system search tool I've used shows 4), in windows terms:
Local Disk (C
- total 931 GB
New Volume (E) - 157 GB - hardrive taken from my old computer
Local Disk (F
- 40 GB
Local Disk G
- 192 GB
I think I've now lost drives visable to windows, I can't double check this! Memory sticks etc. are H:
I want to take advantage of my installed drives for file space and all the functions required. However when partitioning, theres a lot of GBs of unknown space I can't use/press minus to delete) and as most turtorials are for 1 drive systems. Some of the complications may be due to failing to install linux mint before?
I've taken a photo of the partitioning screen with my tablet,
see here
Any advice would be gratefully appreiciated.
Being a total newbie, sorry if I've said or done anything stupid! Thought a move to Linux would be just the ticket as my windows key thinks it wants to expire!
All the best,
it's not the best photo above but take a look,
I hope to be de-confused by all this one day
Thanks,
Pete
