Update on grub & windows entry the windows entry was already there,had an error message after grub loading screen & being in VB with a low grade laptop it loads slow, but there is a bug in grub although harmless & correctable.

I don't have the experience installing the F18 and winXP on VB , i will try it asap.

Can you share the "grup" screen capture installation procedure ?

So your install of fedora on your winsxp machine never altered MBR?
If so you can still boot xp without problems?

Once I let Fedora automatically partition it just installed grub & said it was done.
It never did ask where to install grub.
The only thing I did was modify grub so that it would show the boot menu. That was the bug I had.
