Installing ati drivers
Hi at all,
I have a problem at the beginning of the installation process of the ATI drivers (8.14.13).
My notebook has a ATI Radeon 9000 and I decided to upgrade from fglrx drivers to the newest one, because fglrx sometimes freezes the x-server (and the rest of the computer), especially under KDE. So I downloaded "ati-driver-installer-8.14.13.run" from "https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27" and I read the instructions.
Simple (fglrx bye bye)!
Logged in as "root", under KDE, using Konsole, I launched "./ati-driver-installer-8.14.13.run" in the same directory of the drivers and this is the only result I have obtained:
Creating directory fglrx-install
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

NO WINDOW for the installation process, so no installation.
What can I do?
Ah, I'm using Slackware 10.0 with original kernel for ACPI.
