Install hangs on hardware probe, still no mouse or keyboard

Hey again folks.
I previously posted here regarding keyboard and mouse dead after installing centOS 4 on new dell. Well...I gave up on that guy and tried installing on a different DEll- this time Inspiron 530 w/ Pentium Dual Core.
Comes with pre-installed Ubuntu.

This time I have similar symptoms: install hangs after "disabling IRQ #193". Unless I use the "noprobe" option, in which case it installs to HDD, but keyboard and mouse again die during configuration.

I have installed Linux on many machines previously with no problems such as this.

Avalanches of Thanks in Advance.
LFW

(hope this isn't considered double post. I really am trying it on a brand new machine and did not get any replies to previous. thank you.)
