Install Beryl in CentOS 4.4


I wanted to know the minimum comfiguration required to install beryl in centos 4.4. and can it be installed via yum.

If you were compiling from source, here's the info on "pre-requisites":
http://wiki.beryl-project.org/wiki/Compile_requirements

As far as installing from Yum:
http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories
That page suggests CentOS can use RPMForge as a possible repo. SO, one would assume that yes, you could use yum.

I am not the OP, but I too appreciate your pointers. I was wondering if I could install Beryl on my CentOS 4.4 box as well. Looks like source compilation requires GCC version 4.1 or above, which CentOS 4 sure doesn't have by default. I should look for precompiled RPMs instead. Wish me luck.
