You have had some good answers so far. I often recommend try several live distros. and picking the one that 1. meets the needs of your hardware the best, 2. One that is pleasing for you to use and 3. the one that best allows you to accomplish the computing goals you want.

VirtualBox® actually does not care. Oracle puts out versions of it which run on everything. The essential idea is that "here is a fully-functional but free tool" which allows you safely experiment, no matter what your "host system" is.

Try earn some certification, also you need to decide which diraction you like
