If you are using notepad, you are probably using Windows, right?
If that is the case, the fix is quite easy: choose an OS and install it.
You can try Ubuntu, Mandriva and Fedora, then choose the one that suits you the best. This is the only fix to your problems. You may find another temporary fix, but more problems will come if you don't change your OS.

Hi, I agree with Agrouf, Mandriva 2009.1 Spring is out soon. lol.

You really need to plan ahead if you want to get around that bug/trojan.

You might try an on-line virus scan, trend-micro is one that offers free service.

But you would have to get the url before, and paste it in when you are ready.

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

click here for free scan (LINK) I hope this works...

This is the free house-call link, hopefully you will get/have the cookie

http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/

Best of luck....

Regards Glenn

ps. You could always scan it with clamav from a linux system.

strange problem!
I am thinking somehow one or more of the keys on the keyboard are stuck and it give a command to close the internet browser?!
such as Alt F4 or Alt space-bar and C?? (but Only the browser? dont make sense?)
have you unplug your keyboard and re plug it? turn it upside down and hit the keys/shaking it? you'd be surprise what falls out of there !

Oh I bet you have a virus. reboot in safe mode with networking go to one of those online free virus cleaning site (like pandasecurity, etc,) and let it do its thing for couple of hours.
I bet if u look in msconfig/startup there are bunch of unknown .exe files...(but not necessarily)
