HP System is hanged after 1 hr

Hi
A HP system having Linux os is hanged after an hr or more. system configuration is as given below...
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
MemTotal: 1026888 kB(1GB)
Disk /dev/hdc: 80.0 GB, 80026361856 bytes

All reinserting RAM and HD is done but issue still persists.

Its working some time after rebooting.

Any idea why its happening or need to change the SMPS of the system?

Thanks in Advance

No idea, since you don't say which version/distro of Linux you're using, what's running on the server, how many users, the environment where the server is located, etc.

Check the log files, and provide details, and we might be able to help.

I'm asuming this is a desktop system? Model type/Number? Have you checked that the heatsink isn't blocked with dust or fluff which would cause overtemp problems including hanging. Are all the fans working?

Play Bonny!

Firstly, you can check that you're not overheating

Secondly, use something like SystemRescueCD to check your memory's behaviour.

Thirdly, inspect your motherboard and look for bulging capacitors
