Question Howto convert bin file to a executable DOS file


Have a compiled .bin file but needs to convert into standalone .exe file for DOS. How do I do that?

As far as I know you can't convert a binary to run on different platforms. Depending on what it does though, you may be able to re-compile it under DOS (or something that emulates it). Can you give us some more info on what it does and whether you have the source?

there was a program in dos named bin2exe but i don't know if the program still exists today.

bin2exe converted a DOS com file to an exe.
How did you compile this bin file?

I think the part was, "how do I turn a Linux .bin into a DOS .exe", or at least I hope so
