how to update video drivers correctly

Hello my name is Gidgamoe and I would like to know if anyone has been able to update their video drivers from the .rpm and how to do it correctly. Ubuntu used to tell me when a new driver was available but now it does not. Is there some way to turn that on?

Thanks for any and all help, Gidgamoe.

Video drivers

Thanks everyone I just had a bowl of brain soup and found how to install new video drivers. It was easier than I thought it would be.
