how to turn off dma for harddisk?


i having some problem installing my redhat8.0
can anybody teach me how to disable the dma option on harddisk?
i try to turn it off from bios but seems like when the system boot up it still can detect and use the dma mode
i'm using seagate st340014a 40gb harddisk

The config read on boot is in /etc/sysconfig/harddisk.*, set "USE_DMA=0".
