Question Harddisk DMA error?


I have Dual AMD Athlon 2800+ running FC1 . My problem is I can not boot my box without param ide=nodma (it had worked well for two months with default boot params). If I try enable DMA with hdparm -d1 /dev/hd[x] its dump many of error like DriveReady SeekComplete Error or DriveStatusError BadCRC

try a slower dma speed. enable dma after booting
with hdparm -X67 -d1 /dev/hda /dev/hdb
your drive cable may be damaged?
