Question How to transfer the compiled kernel to old kernel server ??

Hi all,

I have compiled a new 2.6.7 kernel and worked in a 2.4G linux server. Now, i want to transfer this new kernel to a slow linux server which is RedHat 7.2 using 2.4.7-10 kernel. ( My 2.4G linux server is running RedHat 7.3 )
What kind of things do I need to concern ??
What package do i need to install ??

Thank for your help

You could simply scp the kernel over to the other system. Man scp will help. But if you are on the system you want the kernel to be on, you could run scp user@host:filename ./

That would copy the kernel from the computer it's on to the system you are on. You get the picture

Thank for your reply !
I knew that "scp" command through sshd. But i really want to that what kind of thing i should consider when copying this new kernel to production server.

Is it necessary to install modules_init_tools to server ?
Is it required to install modules using "make modules, make modules_install" ??

Since the productive server is serving someone, i don't want to mess it up !
