Depending on what sort of install you chose, Samba should be pre-installed with your distro. NFS support should already be built in, i believe.
The best way to find out would be to check man pages, and/or the websites. Do a google search for NFS or Samba at www.google.com/linux

The other way to install these into the OS is to use the package manager that came with your OS (i.e. Synaptic for Ubuntu, yum for fedora etc) and do a search for "samba" or NFS.
