What do you mean by "without yums" ? As I mentioned, yum is just a package management tool for rpms. One reason why you could be having problems with totem is that, it could have be the version using gstreamer instead of xine. It may help if you install the gstreamer plugins from livna
. It would be obviously easier if you setup the livna
yum repo and use yum to install the packages you wish. If you do not want to do that, then you can download the packages and install them manually. If you want to use xine, then you may have to compile totem from source with the --enable-xine configuration option.
