I'm building my own theme. Anyone know how I can import art to create my own icons?

You should check out the latest version of Xorg. It supports true transparency, window shadows, and other fun stuff. It's still being worked on though, so you might not be able to get it working. (I haven't really bothered, for example.)

The icons can be found here. That is gkrellm running in the top right hand corner and next to it is xmms.
