how to do firewall of in RHEL 9


hi.... friends

i m not able to put firewall off in RHEL 9

i given a command lokkit & disable the firewall but still it is on but in RHEL5 i use lokkit & getenforce i able to do firewall off so pls tell me how to do off in RHEL9 ..

Are you sure you are using RHEL 9 and not RH 9? Last time I checked (about 6 months ago) RHEL was only at version 5. However redHat ended production of RH Linux at version 9.

for red hat 9

do not even try
RH 9 has been unsupported for 6 years

please do the rest of the net a very big security favor and USE A SUPPORTED version
RHEL 5.4 is the current
go and buy it!!!!!

And if you do not want to buy a license, get CentOS5.4 Final. You can download it from LQ as well. I have three CentOS5.4 and have not been issues as such. If you can depend on the community and can do without commercial support get it.
