How to delete ubuntu partition and install windows 7 again? No dvd drive.

Basically, i installed ubuntu and wiped all my windows 7 data. Now, i want to revert back but i don't know how as i didn't dual boot. Also, i don't have a dvd drive. i installed a windows 7 iso to a usb but it only lets me use the recovery tools cause when i try to install it, it says no dvd driver detected and i can't install win 7. please, any help would be great.

also i should note that i tried to format the drive in win 7 recovery with comand prompt but the drive didn't show up... it only showed my 2nd hard drive that has nothing on it.

Where did you get the windows 7 image from to create this usb?

OEM copies of windows recovery may not be true windows 7 wim files. Might be possible to borrow a dvd and use it but the actual authentication may be an issue.

You may still have the recovery partition data too.

Last resort is to buy replacement media from the oem.

I assume you're legal...

You can download an ISO DVD of Windows 7 from a Microsoft authorized site. Choose the same Windows 7 version as the one that came with your system.

Then you should be able to use a Microsoft program to make an installation USB.

You will of course need the numerical code key of the Windows 7 previously installed on your computer in order to activate the new copy of Windows 7. In a worst case, you will need to call Microsoft to have your OEM license verified.

The USB tool might work under WINE, but you may need a machine with Windows installed to make your USB.
