mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ ls /media/
autorun.inf RECYCLER System Volume Information
FreeAgentGoNext.ico Seagate Backup Win XP Backup
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$
Which directory did you create?
How did you create the directory?
Kind regards
well I used the GUI luckybackup
Code:
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ ls /media/
autorun.inf Personal Seagate Backup Win XP Backup
FreeAgentGoNext.ico RECYCLER System Volume Information
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ ls /media/Personal/
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$
No, I didn't.
If I knew how to paste it here, I would paste the screenshots of my screen here, so that you see how I used the GUI luckybackup, but I don't know how, and I don't think is even possible.
Sorry I was away for a while, OK, so this is the outcome of that command:
Code:
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ ls /media/FreeAgent/
ls: cannot access /media/FreeAgent/: No such file or directory
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ ls sudo /media/FreeAgent/
ls: cannot access /media/FreeAgent/: No such file or directory
sudo
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$
But of course this is not right, because I know that HD is mounted. I can see it under places ==> Computer ==>
Also :
Code:
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ ls /media/
apt FreeAgent Drive Ubuntu-Netbook 10.10 i386
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$
Code:
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /media
Mount is denied because the NTFS volume is already exclusively opened.
The volume may be already mounted, or another software may use it which
could be identified for example by the help of the 'fuser' command.
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$
Code:
mansour@ubuntu-notebook:~$ mount
