Unhappy How do I reset the login counter


Linux 4 64bit Enterprise Server 2.6.9-5

After users logout out do I reset the login counter so user can login. The GUI interface does not show them locked out but after edit the auth file failed logins to lockout the user after five failed attempts.

edit /var/log/faillog

Unhappy found file but but it appears to be a picture file

/var/log/failog appears to be a picture file. I'm I looking in the correct area?
