HELP--Suse Instalation

Ok, i want to insatll SuSe. I am a newbie as you can tell. So please be clear...II got a good connection (cable) and want to download it off of and ftp server. I dont know which one though. I dont understand what all the i386 stuff is. I want SuSe Desktop 8.2 (I think) I want to be able to easly run an ftp server and access the internet. Which one should i get?

i386 just means intel compatable, have a read of this

the directory is probably this one ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/current/suse/i586/
