i have dled all 5 cds for suse 8.2 profestional, and i boot up the first cd, and follow all the install instructions and then, when it comes up to partitions it wants to delete my windose partition, which i want to keep, because there are things i still need to use on it, and i have been into all the options and cant find anything that lets me keep resize it to make room for linux, any help?

would partiton magic do the trick?
The site says ntfsresize is already on the SuSE 8.2 Rescue System,
what you should already have. You should just follow the step by step
instructions or if it's uncomfortable use the Partition Magic clone, QTParted from one of the Linux live cd's or
Mandrake's graphical repartitioner.
