having media card issues


my problem im having is when i copy files big or small to any sd card or flash drive, the file are there until i remove the media device. as soon as i put it into another computer or back into my laptop, the files arent there. any ideas

Try using the Safely Remove option before removing the media device. Althought the copying window may have disappeared leading you to believe the copy has finished, chances are the write has not. Using the above method you would get a message letting you know if the device is still in use.

or just unmount the drive FIRST before you remove it . This will finish the copying

thanks to all it worked beautifully, didnt know i had to dump trash from media drives, but it also wrote the files and they stay on the drive now... thanks a million
