gui startup--automatic


How do I make my computer boot directly into kde? Even if there is a file I can just add startx to let me know. I'm using Slack 9.0 btw. Thanx for your hlep.

in .bash_login add your startx line

That worked, but I found another way of doing it incase anyone else is wonering about this in slack. Go to the /etc/inittab file and at the line:

id:3:initdefault:

change the 3 to a 4. I actually saw this done in red hat but with redhat 5 is used for gui login.

Anyway as always thanx for the help.
