hii all,
My f10 was working superbly until yesterday nite error 15:file not found occurs.
& with the help of sites like linuxquestions, i gotta hold of my grub,i altered the grub settings & then again i m here.
But the fact i can't digest is how does my grub settings changed--

I have a doubt in your second solution.His /boot directory is /dev/sda9 ,so while installing grub shouldn't the command is grub> root(hd0,8)

Yes you are right about the root (hd0,8)
The only way is somehow you have to be changing the menu.lst when booting.
