Good news! (eth0) Lan and printer

Hello,
and first, thanks for everyone who posted with help. I got my LAN/eth0 and printer problems solved ... (I had posted about the LAN a couple of days ago, in the thread that I had started about a week earlier, but guess it got lost under all the posts and the holiday weekend).
eth0 problem was corrected thanks to my cat! Saw her pawing behind the puter, and went to recheck my RJ45 (which was near where she was trying to get a toy out that had rolled behind it). Took it out, and reconnected it, and this time when I powered up the computer, it worked.
As for the printer, I kept getting printer not ready when I was using the tcp/ip/socket choice in PrinterDrake (printer model -- hp6127 -- is listed, and I had been choosing the Ghostscript+hpijs drivers for it). My brother told me to use lpr instead, and enter the IP number of the printer for hostname. Printed the test page, and I have printed from OpenOffice! TudeCat
