gnome-power-preferences in Fedora 12

hi,

I notice that in Fedora 12, gnome-power-preferences, the option for When laptop lid is closed has been modified.

before there used to an additional option Do Nothing in the list of options. Is there anyway to enable this option. I need this option because the screen goes blank when I close the laptop lid. so if Iam connected to a projecter, the screen goes blank in it also.

HI,

replying with the solution for a question I had raised quite sometime back.

Install gconf-editor, then run it. In gconf-editor, go to /apps/gnome-power-manager/buttons/lid_ac and set it to 'nothing' (without quotes. This will add the 'Do nothing' option to the drop-down list in the Power Management Prefs. Same goes with the 'lid_battery' option (close laptop lid when powered by battery).
