Today i was configured one new public vsftpd server with four users. I disabled anonymous users. all local users can able to login ftp server.
my doubt is one users cant able to view others users data in ftp server. please give some solutions. and if it is possible to users know others username and passwd , but he can view only files not update anything.
And that's the way FTP should work, users can only view their own files.
If you want to share files between them, create a directory somewhere on the file system, mount --bind the directory to each users ftp dir, correct permissions and that's it.
