fstab-sync fedora core 5

Hi,
When I read the man page for fstab it says see fstab-sync, But I can't find this thing. Is fstab-sync some kind of editor?
used vi to edit the fstab and am not sure of all the options. The fourth field. There is something not quite right with the floppy. The word floppy comes up twice. When the icon is clicked on.
distro is fedora core 5

Thanks in advance

It would be helpful if you could post the contents of your fstab file, that would make it easier to find out what's going wrong.

LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0
/dev/sdb2 /mnt/win_c vfat defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0

Ah. I see.
You have two contradicting options for the floppy. You need to remove either the auto or the noauto option.
If you remove the noauto option, you can mount a floppy in the drive with
Code:
# mount /dev/fd0
or
Code:
# mount /media/floppy
If you add "user" to that field (all values must be comma separated), you don't have to be root for this action.
Additional information on the field with the options can be found in the manual for the mount command:
Code:
$ man mount
PS: Sorry for the late answer, I didn't check my subscribed threads in a while
