file share permissions w/suse


i am fairly new to linux and am having difficulty find the file share permissions in suse 9.3. i have networked windows 98, 2000, xp and suse together, but i can't figure out how to set the file permissions on suse so that they work in the windows os. i am using samba share

first of all u need to give read/write access to your shares through samba and that users should have read/write access to that files directories also as defined in the permissions of that files/directories


so do have problems in giving those file permisions??
