How do I partition so Red Hat and SuSE share the same swap file.

I have SuSE installed. I am trying to install Red Hat. I keep getting an error message saying can't boot from logical drive during the partition segment. I believe it is refering to the swap file. I can't partition until I fix this problem. How do I get Red Hat to recognize the existing swap file so I can share it with SuSE and Red Hat.

Do you already have free space on your HD for the RH partitions (other than swap, of course)? For some reason in RH 9 i couldn't resize any partions to make room for red hat and got an error that sound similar.

Using a different program to first resize partition to make free space and then installing RH cleared it up for me. I wasn't trying to use the same swap though, so not sure.

Well, that's one step in the right direction.

Thanks Claudius. I installed Red Hat easily after I free up a partition.
