Smile Fedora Core 2 Modem Problems


Hello guys.....

am new in linux so i need some help....

i installed the Fedora core 2 and i have 2 problems....!
One is that it wwon;t recognize my Us Robotics 56k Ext modem...
I cant find it anywhere.....when i start the internet connection wizard it did find a generic modem but when i finished with wizard and i tryed to get connected it came up an error message that was saying device problem error 2!!!!!
if someone can help me please......
The second is that i have 2 sound cards! one is a terratec dmx 1024 and tghe other one is Echoaudio Gina24-96..the installation found a cirrus logic card which i think it will probably be the Terratec card but i would like to have my Gina24 As my soundcard....
so if anyone knows how to please help....
