Yes, the setting was wrong in the BIOS. Not sure how it happened, as I know it wasn't that way last month. Other people have access to this computer and someone must have been fiddling with it. Anyway, I corrected it, but the fdisk problem persists.

To update, the problem went away on its own. Nothing I did fixed it. Just one day I booted up the computer and it was resolved. So it will remain a mystery.
