Execute shortcut as Root Command? *Nevermind

Hi

I was wondering if there is some tag you can put in the Command field of a shortcut to execute that application as root user. I'm asking because my codeweavers apps only seem to work when I'm logged in as root, so I figured it's worth a shot, just don't know the command!

Thanks!

Matt

If i read that right you can use something called sudo, it's a way to allow a user to run commands with root priveledges.

"man sudo" will help

and just noticed your edit i guess you wanted it from the KDE GUI menu, well sudo can still apply, you could just change the shortcut to read sudo "command" after editing sudoers file.

su -c 'echo example'
then again; you have to type in the password every time...
sudo might be a better solution after all.. ^^
