execute/shortcut

I just installed Netscape 7.1. After installation, the program ran and of
course sooner or later I shut down my computer. Unlike Windows (i think),
it didn't create any shortcut. Since I am new to Linux, I do not know if
there's any type of executable file in my folder ( /usr/local/netscape )
or a way to create a shortcut for the program and place in my "Main Menu".

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what happens if you type /usr/local/netscape/netscape? if netscape runs, that's your command for the execution of netscape.

gnome start button > programs > settings > menu editor.

click new item. give the new item a generic name for display, set the command to "/usr/local/netscape/netscape", and give it an icon.

if you want to put it on your desktop, find the entry in the gnome menu and drag the netscape item from the menu to your desktop.
