your system sees your pen drive as device sda. sda's are usb devices as far as i can tell. my problem is that sometimes my suse system uses the device sda1 for my pen drive, sometimes it uses sdb1, and even sdc1. so i have to figure out which device points to it every time. i dont hae that problem with my fedora system.
if you put the line:
/dev/sda /mnt/flash auto sync,noauto,user,exec 0 0
into /etc/fstab, then you can mount the pen drive as just a user with
>mount /mnt/flash
