Question Editing menus

How do you give regular users permission to edit the menus under GNOME? For some reason (probably my stupidity) I can't figure out how. Any help would be really appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean, maybe some more clarification on what you want to do....

Every user should be able to edit their own menus.

After I installed Slackware, I ran adduser and added a normal user. I logged in as the new user, started GNOME, and when I try to remove items from menus (like Programs) with gmenu, it says I don't have permission. I don't know which files/directories to change modes and owners on either. ;[
Thanks for the help guys.

I just realized that root's menus are the same as the user. If I add an item to the Programs menu under root and then log back in as the regular user I see the change. I would have thought everyone has their own menus. Sorry for being such a newb.
