Post Drive Size

Installing SUSE i have 9gig free on the main HD and 15gig on a 2nd HD which is set at slave.

Windows XP Pro is running on the other part of the 1st HD and using storage on the 2nd HD.

Can I install suse on the 2nd HD and have the option to boot to either WinXpPro or Suse?

Thanks in advanced :-)

Yes, though there is a (slim) possibility that you may need to edit the boot loader files afterwards, if the SuSE installation doesn't insert the correct parameters. Usually a piece of cake though.

Cheers,

So you can boot into Xp as well ? But yes, the SuSE installation gui is pretty well made.

More info needed...

Do you get the Grub error before the boot menu comes up (with the choice of SuSE & XP) or after ? If after, is it when you choose both SuSE & XP, or just one ? What is the error ?

Cheers,

mj
