dpkg missing Linux mint. 20.1

How to install dpkg? Running dpkg --configure -a it returns dpkg not found.

You need to be root.
Or, being Mint, probably use sudo.

I cannot believe dpkg is not installed. The "not found" message probably just means it's not in the PATH for your user. To find where it is, try

whereis dpkg

Then run dpkg by its full name, e.g.

The correct command should be

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Thanks, problem solved, mint did not install properly.Reinstalling has put every thing right
