dma problems with the 2.6.6 at boot time

Since weeks i try to get running the 2.6.6 kernel on my system. However, at boot time i get always the same error message:

hde: dma_timer_expiry :dma status == 0x21
hde: DMA timeout error
hde: dma timeout error: status = 0xd8 {busy}
hde: DMA disabled
ide2: reset phy, status=0x00000113, siimage_reset
ide2: reset timed-out

I do not have thise problems with my old kernel (2.4.26) and knoppix 3.4 (with the 2.6er). Both boot without problems.

My hardware:
Mainboard: Asus A7N8X Deluxe (revision 1.06)
Chipset: nForce2
IDE-Controler (SATA): Sil 3112A
HD: Seagate ST3120023AS

I would offer a dump of demsg but there is no. I think there is not enough time to write it on the hd.

It happened for me with a cdrom.
Try to slow down the DMA config of your drive with hdparm
You'll probably have to learn about DMA.
