Display info after log in.

Hello,

When I know if you enter a text or message in /etc/motd when you log in you'll see whatever is it in that file plus the default stuff.

Is there a way when I log in I can show other information such as disk space, users logged in, time, date, memory etc when a user logs in. I've seen this before which is why I am asking but never knew how to do it or how to go about it.

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Hello,

Not sure if I did anything wrong but I tried to follow what you posted in your reply and now I can't log into the server. When I try to log into the server I get the following error:

Connection to aevhosting.com closed.

It will log into the server and show the motd the then give the error above which is Connection to aevhosting.com closed.

Did I mess up and is there anyway to fix this?
