Question disk partition

Hi people!

i have just realized that i have done a big mistake upon my mandrake 9.1 installation...

i have not partitioned my linux disk space.(coexist with my windows XP)

i spared about 6gb for my linux but i think i only had 1 partition for it.

i want to know will this cause me great harm in future? if yes, should i uninstall it and reinstall it again with proper partitioning? or is there a way to fix it now since everything is installed?
which is the faster way?

please advice~ thanks

that means you dont have a swap partition??i think a swap partition is required for the proper working of your system(that depends on the amnt of ram you are having).
You have to use ext2resize or resize2fs (part of e2fsprogs) to resize your partition and add a swap space of around 200 mb(depends on your ram size)
