Desktop Calendar gadget for Mint Mate

Is there a desktop calendar gadget with transparency features like the one in Windows 7 that I can add to my Mint Mate desktop?

Hatman KZN,

MATE (Gnome 2) and Cinnamon (Gnome 3) are two different Desktop Environments, so the chances of installing the Cinnamon digital clock in MATE are very slim.

MATE however does have screenlets.

To install screenlets you first need to install this PPA:

http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/scr...le?dist=trusty

Then install digitalclock-screenlet:

http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package...lock-screenlet

Code:
sudo apt-get install digitalclock-screenlet
I should warn you that the clock is bright green and pretty hideous, in my opinion.

If you subsequently wish to remove it:
Code:
sudo apt-get remove digitalclock-screenlet

Thanks Beachboy.

The calendar I got was nice but sat fixed in the centre of my screen.

The clock however is a Lulu. A nice, neat little white rectangle with hours, minutes and seconds that sits in a corner.
Nice little gadget

Thanks.
