Question Desk top folder iconx


Is there a way to change the appearance of the desktop folder icons?

yes there is.

What Desktop environment are you running? This is helpful for a full answer

In the Gnome Control Center (Sorry, I don't use "Ubuntu Classic" so I don't know how Ubuntu may have renamed it, but it's likely under System-->Preferences on the menu), go to Appearance-->Themes and selected the "Icons" tab. That will display available icons libraries.

Additional looks can be downloaded.
