cvs security


I have installed a cvs server i want to give access to the cvs only from certain ip from my LAN is there any tag to add to /etc/xinetd.d/cvs file to do this

also provide me information on how to secure my server

See 'man xinetd.conf', the "only_from" and "no_access" attributes?

I could point you to the LQ FAQ: Security references if you want to read things yourself (good) else please be verbose: what distribution plus version, what services does the host provide, what have you already read and done with respect to host and service hardening?

thanx i got the ip functioning

if anyone can tell me about cvs permissions it would be nice

and secondly the security issue of the server.

i am using centos5.4.
