cups

I have a pc with MD 10.1 off and a pc with winxp
the printer is on the md machine I installed a hp5150 printer on it and it prints fine. I can go into cup and print a test page. From the win machine I can see the printer and set it as the default printer but when I try to print I get Printing failed when starting the document.
Any suggestions?

How are you sharing the printer to the Window$ box (smb, ipp, etc.)?

The first thing will always be to look at the logs
on the Linux box ... both samba and cups.

Check whether either of them holds info for
the time when you tried to print from windows.

If there's nothing, put the debug levels in both
configuration files up a notch, and try again.

If it still doesn't show anything you have a
windows-problem.

Cheers,
Tink
