Copying Squid Config file to PSCP with Putty

Hello all,

I need to know what I am doing wrong when attempting to make a copy of my squid.conf file using pscp & putty.

C:\Users\USER\Desktop>pscp root@localhost squid://usr/sbin/squid -f /etc/squid/squid.conf ./
More than one remote source not supported

^ the above error is the same one I keep getting. Is this the correct path, or am I doing something wrong?

Help and Feedback greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

ziggs

The basic pscp syntax is:
Code:
pscp [options] [user@]host:source destination
In your command above you do have two remote sources.

root@localhost and squid:

In addition, localhost always refers to the computer you are sitting and I doubt your using squid as a hostname. I know of no f option.

[code]
pscp username@remote_IP_address:/etc/squid/squid.conf .[code]

The dot used for the destination is a shortcut for the current working directory where you are running the pscp command.
